Meet Janine Rawal

Have you ever been pulled back to a moment in time by a knowing look?

Worcestershire based artist Janine Rawal grew up in a small rural village in the 80’s and 90’s, the kind of place where everyone knew everybody, and the world always felt safe.

Creativity and nature were always in her heart. Janine would often sit on a bench at the end of her road, taking in the beautiful scenery and create images in her mind from the cloudy skies. Summer walks with her mum ‘over the styles’ were a favourite activity, collecting items to use in transforming potting trays into magical lands and fairy gardens. Childhood summers were full of ‘playing out’, wildlife walks, time in the garden, good old fashioned British holidays and visiting family: where Janine was often found playing with the dogs or just talking to the animals.

5 star definitely. I received the print just 2 days after ordering, also on the same day I received a separate envelope from the artist. The envelope had the certificate of authenticity along with a nice bit of information about the artist and the meaning of the picture from the artist's perspective, plus a lovely thank you note personally written by the artist. This was a lovely touch! I like the fact that the artist's paintings are only reproduced a maximum of 250 times which allows me to have a great piece of art on my wall that very few others will have.

I don't send that many Christmas cards but when I saw Janine's cards I just had to buy some. I've a few relatives we don't see often so to send them such a beautiful card will be so special.
I asked Janine which she had and she told me she only had 2 of the designs but she'd put an order in to get more printed. I've told her I'd like one of each. Expecting them to arrive early December, I was delighted when she messaged me to say she'd managed to get them earlier. All four designs arrived about a week after I ordered them and there was a lovely handwritten note too. Great customer service and beautiful cards.

This week I received my limited edition print of 'Searching' along with a Certificate of Authenticity and the story of... 'Searching' to give its creation some context I quite simply love it. I struggle to put into words how mesmerizing this beautiful owl is. There is something about it that draws me to pause, be still and look at it. It calms me and I feel in awe of the spectacular creature it portrays. I haven't placed it on the wall yet as it needs to be in a perfect place where I can sit and gaze at it so it can work its magic of stillness, awareness, and searching on me. You have captured these elements so beautifully Janine, thank you.
